The Big Book of Boys Stuff

By admin | May 6, 2008

The Big Book of Boy Stuff by Bart King is another in a growing body of books written specifically for boys. Designed to be engaging for boys with stuff they would be interested in, the book has activities, jokes and tidbits of
information to read. Unfortunately, the book may have some elements that we may not want to encourage. It is not bad or dangerous but some of the jokes are what I would consider potty humor as well as encouraging practical jokes. (Read the Full Review).

I appreciate the fact that this reviewer actually “laughed out loud” while reading my book, as well as the fact that he really enjoyed it. Thus, I was intrigued that The Big Book of Boy Stuff was reluctantly not endorsed by the reviewer, in part because it has potty humor (!). One doesn’t have to be an authority on boys’ behavior to know that this enhances a boy’s enjoyment of the book!

Thanks to Mr. King for reading the review! I would agree that boys do enjoy this stuff. My five boys do enjoy this stuff themselves, the problem is they enjoy it too much! Hence my reluctance. Thanks again for reading.
